favorite things - sunscreen, shampoo, moisturizers..

I get a lot of questions asking for recommendations on basic beauty products, so I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite things. I will update this list as things change.

Favorite sunscreen

This is by far the most common question I am asked. When it comes to body, Supergoop is my all time favorite. For face, I have moved away from chemical sunscreens to physical sunscreens as physical sunscreens offer broader protection against visible light and ultraviolet radition. My current favorite in drunk elephant 20% zinc oxide with honorable mention to eltaMD elements. My favorite lip protector is also by Supergoop. 

Favorite shampoo

NEW WASH by hair story is everything. It is truly a shampoo, conditioner, and detangler all in one. My hair feels so soft when I use it. 

Favorite moisturizer

The original Vaseline ointment is by far my favorite moisturizer, however, it is very gooky and only appropriate for evening application. For day to day moisture, I apply Kiehl's Creme de Corps immediately after my morning shower.

Want more beauty on loveandthesky? I'm not allowing myself to write on skin for another few months. Right now, I need to focus on learning before I even think of teaching, but if you're interested in skin related posts, drop some interests in the comments section and they'll be first on my list. This blog is for the long haul and I hope to fully expand the fitness, beauty, relationship, and self-care sections over the next year (we're turning two soon!)
